Jump into a variety of VR-supported worlds now on Meta Quest headsets.

Earlier this month we learned that Roblox, the uber-popular online game platform, is coming to Meta Quest 2 and Quest Pro VR headsets for the very first time.

Today, Roblox Corporation launched an unshut beta via App Lab, permitting Quest players 13 years and older to immerse themselves in a variety of VR-supported worlds without the need for a VR-ready gaming PC.

Here’s how to get started playing Roblox on your Meta Quest headsets today:

  • First, be sure your Meta Quest headset is up-to-date by checking for any software updates. Your headset will need to run v55 or higher of the Meta Quest software in order to play.
  • Download the Roblox app on your Meta Quest headset by searching the Meta Quest Store or by visiting here. The unshut beta is misogynist via App Lab, Meta’s virtual distribution platform for games and apps not officially tried by the company.
  • Once finished downloading, unshut the game on your Meta Quest headset and sign in using the “Quick Login” option on your personal computer or mobile device. The current version of Roblox for Meta Quest does not support in-headset sign-in or worth creation. If you don’t have an existing worth you’ll need to create one. Don’t worry, it’s self-ruling and you don’t plane need to submit an email address.

And that’s it! You can now explore a variety of VR-enabled games and worlds directly from your Meta Quest 2 or Meta Quest Pro headset; no expensive VR-ready gaming PC required.

As previously mentioned, this is not a full release but an unshut beta that will indulge developers to experiment with their Roblox VR experiences surpassing the game’s official launch on the Meta Quest Store. As such you can expect a number of known issues as the team continues to fine-tune the game. For instance, you can purchase virtual items in-headset but not spare “Robux” (in-game currency) or vote on experiences.

Roblox is misogynist in unshut beta for self-ruling on Meta Quest 2 and Quest Pro headsets via App Lab. For increasingly information trammels out the official utterance here. One last tip: you can switch between first-person and third-person modes by clicking the right thumbstick on your Touch controller.
